Laura Federico is an Italian radiographer working at the IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna, Policlinico di Sant’Orsola, with clinical experience in radiology, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and interventional radiology. She holds advanced academic training in healthcare management and interventional radiology, including a Master’s degree in Healthcare Professions Management and postgraduate education in coordination and interventional radiology. She is Lecturer at the Master in Interventional Radiology at the University of Bologna and serves as Vice President of AITRI, the Italian Association of Interventional Radiology Technologists. Her professional and scientific activity focuses on the development of the radiographer’s role in interventional radiology, dose optimisation, radiation protection, education, sustainability, leadership and professional advancement in radiography practice. She has contributed to scientific publications, book chapters and national and international congress activities, with a strong commitment to promoting evidence-based radiography practice and the empowerment of radiographers within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
